Norwalk City Council To Consider Various Purchases During Upcoming Meeting: Agenda

NORWALK, CT — The Norwalk City Council is scheduled to consider several items during an upcoming meeting scheduled for Tuesday evening.

According to an agenda available on the city's website, the meeting is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in the council chambers and will be accessible by telephone, Zoom or a recording on the City of Norwalk YouTube channel.

Among the items listed on the agenda, council members are scheduled to consider a purchase order of six police package utility vehicles on behalf of the Norwalk Police Department to Sullivans Northwest Hills, as well as a purchase order to Fleet Auto Supply on behalf of the department for the upfit of emergency vehicle equipment in six police vehicles.

The council is also scheduled to consider a proposed master software license and services agreement with LHS Associates Inc. for the procurement of the KNOWiNK Poll Pad System for an initial three-year term with automatic renewal, according to the agenda.

Another public safety item council members are scheduled to consider is the purchase of enhanced cell phone communication technology with a two-year support subscription for the Norwalk Police Department, according to the agenda.

A related agenda item would authorize purchase orders on behalf of the department to the enhanced cellphone communications technology vendor, according to the agenda.

The council is also scheduled to consider authorizing Police Chief James Walsh and the Norwalk Police Department to enter into an agreement with Biometrics Identification Services for fingerprinting and notary services, according to the agenda.

Council members are also scheduled to consider executing "any and all agreements, documents, instruments, or amendments as may be necessary" with the Norwalk Senior Center to provide ongoing senior services for city residents from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, according to the agenda.

The council is also scheduled to consider executing "any and all agreements, documents, instruments, or amendments as may be necessary" with ElderHouse Inc. to support the In-Kind Contribution Program for the same time period, according to the agenda.

Council members are also scheduled to consider authorizing agreements and amendments with CT State Community College-Norwalk for Health Department staff and volunteers to use space on the Norwalk campus for the Know Your Numbers health screening program on various dates between Jan. 1, 2027, and June 30, 2028, according to the agenda.

The agenda also includes mayor's remarks, resignations and appointments, council president items and reports from departments, boards and commissions.
