Details Announced For Old Fashioned Flea Market Event At Norwalk Mansion Museum

NORWALK, CT — Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum will host its 19th annual old-fashioned flea market event in Norwalk next month.

According to a news release provided by LMMM, the event will take place Sept. 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Mathews Park.

Co-chaired by LMMM Trustee Lisa Pisano Henderson and LMMM Education Coordinator Heather Dunn, the event will feature a diverse array of vendor booths offering antiques, repurposed furniture, jewelry and specialty farm-to-table
goods, according to the release.

A collection of classic and antique cars featuring the Connecticut Seaport Car Club will entertain shoppers of all ages, according to LMMM.

"We are bringing together the region's top vendors, antique cars and trendy food trucks for a day of family fun," Henderson and Dunn said in a joint statement. "Visitors will also have an opportunity to explore the iconic Lockwood Mathews Mansion Museum."

The mansion's volunteers will host a White Elephant Table managed by Rose Carroll and featuring items donated by supporters, according to LMMM.

The gift shop will also be open, offering museum-themed accessories and an eclectic selection of gifts, including logo-embroidered totes, designer jewelry, elegant scarves and books on history and preservation, according to LMMM.

Additionally, $5 mini-tours of the mansion's first floor will be available to the public from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., and all proceeds will benefit the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum's educational and cultural programs, according to LMMM.

The event will take place rain or shine. Vendor spaces are approximately 10x16 feet and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, according to LMMM.

Vendor spaces are $85 each. Food truck spaces are $200 , with advance payment required, according to LMMM.

The museum will offer a limited number of booths to area nonprofits who want to share their message and mission with flea attendees. Admission to the park and the outdoor event is free, according to LMMM.
