New Exhibition Opens At Norwalk Art Space

NORWALK, CT — "Abundance," a new exhibition, is now on display at The Norwalk Art Space.

According to a news release provided by the art space, a free opening reception will be held Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and the exhibition will be on display Sept. 3 through Nov. 5.

An artists talk will also take place Oct. 18 from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the art space, located at 455 West Avenue in Norwalk.

According to the art space, "Abundance" celebrates nourishment in its many forms: food, labor, community, creativity and the natural systems that sustain us.

Moving beyond simple excess, the exhibition proposes a definition rooted in stewardship, connection and interdependence, and food becomes a lens for examining the unseen forces that shape our lives, according to the art space.

The exhibition also provides a fitting backdrop for the art space's annual ARTS BASH fundraiser scheduled for Sept. 24, which will honor restaurateur Bill Taibe this year, according to the release.

"Under the theme 'Five Years of Feeding Passions,' ARTS BASH celebrates Taibe's creativity, commitment to community, and lasting influence on Fairfield County's culinary culture," the release reads. "The connection between 'Abundance' and ARTS BASH underscores the many ways food and art can bring people together, blending flavors, ideas and individual passions into experiences that nourish a community."

The release also notes parking is limited at the art space, however ample overflow parking is available in the West Avenue Public lot across the street from the Mobil Station and in Mathews Park.
