Norwalk Police Commission To Recognize Officers Of The Month During Upcoming Meeting: Agenda

NORWALK, CT — The Norwalk Police Commission is scheduled to recognize three officers of the month during an upcoming meeting scheduled for Monday afternoon.

According to an agenda available on the city's website, the special virtual meeting is scheduled to be held at 4:15 p.m. and can be accessed by phone, Zoom or a recording on the city's YouTube channel.

Among the items listed on the agenda is recognition of the August officers of the month: Police Sgt. John Taranto and officers Francois Van Rensburg and Corey Auten.

Also listed on the agenda are two personnel matters, including a course approval and a drop plan.

The commission is also scheduled to review several August reports, including the chief's executive report, a patrol and investigative services report, a community policing and training report and an administration report, according to the agenda.

Other items listed on the agenda include acceptance of minutes from the Aug. 17 meeting, public participation and other informational items, including complimentary letters.

The commission's next meeting is currently scheduled for Oct. 19, according to the agenda.
