NORWALK, CT — A Norwalk man was arrested Monday in connection to a series of prowler complaints at a city condominium complex, according to the Norwalk Police Department.
Police Lt. Ramon Tejada said in a news release officers were called to the Oakwood Avenue complex seven times since July 14 after receiving reports of suspicious activity.
According to Tejada, residents reported seeing a man walking along balconies in back of the complex and looking into condos primarily at night.
On Sept. 17, police received a report that a person was seen looking into condos and walking along multiple balconies at the complex, who then fled the area when a resident confronted him, according to Tejada.
Tejada said police interviewed witnesses and obtained surveillance footage of the person, as well as shared photos of the person on social media asking for the public's assistance, Tejada said.
After further investigation and receiving information from the community, police identified the person as Frank Williams, 40, of Norwalk, according to Tejada.
Police obtained an arrest warrant for Williams on Monday and arrested him later that evening, Tejada said.
Williams was charged with second-degree breach of peace.
His bond was set at $25,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court next month, according to Tejada.
