NORWALK, CT — An unnamed Norwalk resident is $10,000 richer this week after claiming a winning lottery ticket purchased locally, the Connecticut Lottery announced.
On Friday, the person claimed a winning $2 Monopoly ticket that was bought at Gomez Mini Market on West Cedar Street.
The Connecticut Lottery no longer publishes winners' names without their written consent, in accordance with Sec. 3(d) of Public Act 25-112, according to officials.
The game began in August, and as of Monday, three grand prizes of $10,000 remained unclaimed.
More than 2 million game tickets have been printed, and the overall odds of winning are 1 in 4.05.
