NORWALK, CT — A Norwalk man was arrested in connection to a stabbing reported on Woodward Avenue late Tuesday night, according to the Norwalk Police Department.
In a news release provided by the department, Police Lt. Ramon Tejada said callers reported around 10 p.m. a person had been stabbed and a suspect had fled the area in a black Honda Accord.
Officers located a 49-year-old with a chest stab wound and provided emergency medical aid to them, according to Tejada.
They were then taken to Norwalk Hospital for treatment, Tejada said.
A description of a suspect and their vehicle was broadcast to patrol officers, Tejada said.
According to Tejada, officers later found a suspect, identified by police as Walter Fulton, 28, of Norwalk, at his home.
The knife used in the stabbing was found in a Woodward Avenue parking lot after officers conducted interviews and reviewed surveillance footage, according to Tejada.
Fulton was charged with first-degree assault, second-degree threatening, second-degree breach of peace and carrying a dangerous weapon.
His bond was set at $200,000 and he was scheduled to appear in court Wednesday, according to Tejada.
