IRS Norwalk Office Relocates

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Taxpayer Assistance Center will be closing its Norwalk, Connecticut office currently located at 24 Belden Avenue, Norwalk Connecticut, 06850 at Noon on Friday, January 13, 2012 and reopening at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at its new location at I-Park, 761 Main Avenue, Suite 1000 Norwalk, CT 06851.

Taxpayers should keep in mind that the IRS Internet website and the toll-free taxpayer assistance hotline provide free technical guidance and tax forms without requiring a trip to the office.

Individuals who need tax help with a question may not have to travel farther than their computer. The IRS website at www.irs.gov is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  For those without Internet access, assistance is available through the IRS toll-free number at 1-800-829-1040.

Taxpayer assistance will resume in the new location on Tuesday January17, at 1:00 p.m.  Taxpayers who believe that their tax issues cannot be resolved online or over the telephone can visit the new office, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  The office is closed for lunch between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
