Announcing Open Call Auditions for Shakespeare on the Sound's 2024 summer production of

Romeo & Juliet

Shakespeare on the Sound will host an open call audition for it's 28th Seasonal production of Romeo & Juliet on Sunday, February 4, 2024 from noon to 6pm at The Studio for Performing Arts, located at 26 Forest St. New Canaan, CT 06840.

Audition appointments will be taken on a first-come-first-served basis beginning at 11:30am by the monitor. Open to Union and Non-union actors. Please prepare two contrasting pieces from the works of William Shakesepeare, with at least one being in verse, totaling no more than three minutes.

Apprentice Company Applications Open

Applications are open for our
2023 Apprentice Company

It's that time of year again! Shakespeare on the Sound
is seeking applicants for our 2024 Apprentice Company.

This year we are seeking artists for the following disciplines:
Acting, Directing, Playwriting, Education, Costuming, and Stage Management.

2024 Apprentices will work on this summer's production of Romeo & Juliet, as well as create their own 30-minute version of the play. If you or someone in your life is a young emerging artist, please send them our way. The application and all other pertinent information can be found on our website.

The deadline to apply for all Apprentice disciplines is Wednesday, March 1, 2023.
