Another Crack/Fentanyl Bust In Norwalk: PD

NORWALK, CT — Police arrested a man who was in possession of crack that was laced with fentanyl, according to police.

Police conducted an uncover operation to buy crack cocaine from Derrick Wiggins, 43, of Waterbury. He was apprehended after a violent struggle.

He was charged with: Possession of Narcotics, Possession of Narcotics with Intent to Sell, Possession of Narcotics within 1500’ of a School, Possession of Narcotics with Intent to Sell within 1500’ of a School and Interfering with a Police Officer.

The arrest comes after seven overdoses within 24 hours in the city. Two of the victims died and police believe crack cocaine with fentanyl was responsible.
