Apartment Fire Extinguished In Norwalk: FD
Fire officials said nine residents and one pet were removed from the building by fire department personnel.
NORWALK, CT — Firefighters extinguished a blaze that broke out at a Norwalk apartment late Wednesday night, according to fire officials.
In a news release, Deputy Chief Michael McCallum said crews were called to an Ely Avenue apartment, located in the Roodner Court Housing Complex, around 11:50 p.m.
The fire was found in building 18 of the housing complex. Nine residents and one pet were removed from the building by fire department personnel, McCallum said.

The fire was extinguished in less than 30 minutes, McCallum said. The origin and cause of the fire is under investigation.
