Norwalk PD Investigates Armed Robbery At Chick-Fil-A: UPDATE
The incident occurred early Friday morning on Connecticut Avenue in Norwalk.
NORWALK, CT — Norwalk police detectives are investigating an armed robbery at the Chick-fil-A restaurant on Connecticut Avenue that occurred early Friday morning, according to Norwalk police. No injuries were reported.
Authorities were called to the restaurant at 7 a.m., and officers "confirmed a robbery did take place."
What kind of weapon was displayed, and whether any cash or other items were stolen was not disclosed by police.

News 12 Connecticut, however, reports that two men, both armed with handguns, entered the restaurant just after it opened and stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the registers.
Lt. Thomas Mattera confirmed to the Norwalk Hour that the crime involved more than one suspect. Police did not release a description of the suspects.

"The Detective Bureau has taken over this investigation and are actively looking into the case," said Norwalk Police Lt. Jared Zwickler. "Detectives ask that anyone with information, or anyone who noticed suspicious activity in the area this morning contact them at 203-854-3011, or anonymously at 203-854-3011."
