Arrest Warrant Obtained For Suspect In Norwalk Murder Case: PD
An arrest warrant has been obtained for the suspect, who is currently in custody on another charge, for the killing of Michael Moody.

NORWALK, CT — An arrest warrant has been obtained for a 29-year-old Norwalk man in connection with the Aug. 8 murder of Michael Moody at his home on Fairfield Avenue, according to police.
Sheldon Frierson, of Leonard Street, will be charged with murder when he is arrested at a later date. He is currently being held in lieu of bail of $200,000 on a separate charge of violation of a protective order related to the altercation that resulted in Moody's killing.
The incident occurred at about 1 a.m. when police were contacted about a stabbing that occurred on Fairfield Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found the injured Moody in his apartment and began rendering aid. Moody was transported to Norwalk Hospital by ambulance, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Details of the circumstances that led to the stabbing were not disclosed.
Norwalk Police Detectives and the department's Crime Scene Unit responded to the scene, assumed the investigation and soon identified Frierson as a person of interest in the murder.

Frierson was arrested at the scene and charged with the protective order violation; the victim of the violation was a third party at the scene, according to police. The murder arrest warrant was obtained on Friday.
"Detectives are working with the State's Attorney's Office to serve the warrant on Frierson, who remains in custody, at a future court date," said Norwalk Police Lt. Terrence Blake in a statement.
