Norwalk, CT - The 12th Annual Autumn Classic Tennis Tournament benefitting Norwalk Grassroots Tennis & Education (NGTE), a youth development nonprofit that provides outstanding tennis andeducation programming support for Norwalk youth, will be held on Sunday, October 6th, 2019.

The Autumn Classic High School Tournament, open to all high school students, will be played at bothLongshore Park in Westport and other local clubs on Sunday, October 6th from 9:00am-3:00pm. TheTournament was conceived and inaugurated in 2008 and raised over $3,000. In 2018 over $25,000 was raised. The 2019 turnout is expected to be very strong, with over 500 invitees from local High Schools from all over Southwestern Connecticut. "The Autumn Classic is a great event that brings the tennis community together. It's a fun day for high school players of all levels to come out and compete for a great cause." said Jordyn Lee, one of this year’s Event’s Chairpersons.

“The Autumn Classic is one of the largest, and most successful, events hosted by Norwalk GrassrootsTennis & Education. It brings together long-time supporters and first-time donors and volunteers to our program,” said Betsy McNeil, Executive Director. “With the amazing support from the community, we can continue to change the lives of Norwalk’s youth for generations to come.”

The registration fee for the tournament is $75 per player and includes breakfast, lunch, trophies, and giveaways from the organization’s supporters. Tennis players from all High Schools are welcome. The format will be boys and girls doubles, both divided into Varsity and JV brackets. Participating High schools and their respective committee members are:
