Bank of America awards Carver a $5,000 grant

Join us in thanking Bank of America’s Charitable Foundation  for awarding Carver  a renewal grant of $5,000! Bank of America's support of Carver's educational programs is an investment in the Norwalk community.

The grant we received is part of ongoing investments by the Bank of America Charitable Foundation to help connect the unemployed, underemployed, veterans, youth and those with disabilities to employment opportunities and success. Here is their latest CSR Report

Carver is also a past proud recipient of Bank of America’sNeighborhood Builders Award. This program helps address local challenges in community development, workforce development and education, and other critical needs. The program, an invitation only process for nonprofits addressing these three areas, provides high-performing nonprofits with $200,000 in unrestricted grant funding and leadership development for their executive directors and emerging leaders. The program is the nation’s largest philanthropic investment in nonprofit leadership development.

Another way that Bank of America supports Carver is through its highly competitive national Bank of America Student Leadership Program. After a week in Washington DC our interns work at Carver’s summer camp. For the past three years the Carver Center received an outstanding intern thanks to this Bank of America-backed program.

Bank of America is a community-minded bank and we are grateful to be found worthy of their support.
