Bankwell has donated to Norwalk Mayor Rilling’s Student Engineering & Science Program, a summer camp enrichment program that benefits local students, including children from low and moderate income homes, at the Maritime Aquarium. This is the third summer of the learning initiative that engages 7th and 8th graders in programs that include hands-on exploration activities like building and testing a hydrophone, participating in a hands-on study cruise aboard the Aquarium’s state of the art new research vessel and making discoveries about marine animals during explorations at Calf Pasture Beach.
“I’d like to express my thanks to Bankwell for its generous donation of $5,000 to support the Mayor’s Student Engineering & Science Program at the Maritime Aquarium this summer. This donation will enable 50 young people to finish the summer with the tools and inspiration they need for high school and beyond. Bankwell has exhibited the type of corporate citizenship we prize in Norwalk – a business that believes in supporting and investing in the community in which they do business.”
