Barnes and Noble Bookfair to Benefit Norwalk Library, Friday and Saturday
The event takes place all weekend at Barnes & Noble, 360 Connecticut Ave.

Barnes & Noble, 360 Connecticut Ave., Norwalk and The Norwalk Public Library will be celebrating the Holidays with the World of Books and offering a series of events for all ages beginning Saturday, December 13 and continuing on Sunday, Dec. 14. (See the flyer listing the weekend’s events here.)
The Bookfair sponsored by Barnes & Noble will support Library Programming by donating a percentage of qualifying purchases to The Norwalk Public Library.

This offer applies to all Barnes and Noble locations including online orders, Café and orders of cheesecakes from The Cheesecake Factory at the Norwalk Barnes and Noble. Contact the Norwalk Public Library for information on vouchers for the bookfair.
The Bookfair Celebration at Barnes and Noble will kick-off on Saturday, December 13 at 10 a.m. with Music and Movement with Miss Kathi from the Norwalk Public Library.

It will be followed byMeet The Librarians. Join some of our Norwalk Librarians and learn what it’s like to be a Librarian. What inspired them? Is Librarianship one of your dreams? What books are the personal favorites of the Librarians? Barnes and Noble will have plenty of books for children on libraries and librarians.
At 11:30 a.m., there will be authors reading their picture books celebrating the snowy season, followed by a group of young writers from the Norwalk Public Library’s Monthly Children’s Writers Club recommending their favorite books at 1:00 pm. At 2:00 pm the Library’s Teen Writer’s Club will be joined by a panel of published authors.
From 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., the model and actress w ho portrays Samantha on the book jackets of theAmerican Girl series will talk about her career and how she received the opportunity to portray Samantha. Those attending are encouraged to bring their own American Girl dolls. Saturday’s events will conclude with a panel of published children’s book authors.
Bright and early, Sunday, the programs will continue at 10:00 am when the Norwalk Public Library’s Resolved to Write, adult writing group share some of the titles that inspired them and read from some of their works in progress.
At 11:30 a.m., join the Health: Mind, Spirit and Body! Meet the authors as they discuss their latest books. 2:00 pm will bring the Tess Music Schoolperformers playing the guitar. At 3 p.m., a panel of Fiction authors will share their novels and at 6:00 pm, a panel of authors of adult Non-Fiction, including history, sports, self-help, education and poetry.
Two special days celebrating the holiday season, the love of reading, books and the Norwalk Public Library as Barnes & Noble bids farewell to their Norwalk location.
