Columbus Magnet School is located at 46 Concord Street in South Norwalk. Under the leadership of Arthur Perschino, Marilyn Liberatore, Emily Lopez and, current principal, Medard Thomas, Columbus Magnet has maintained its original Bank Street philosophy stressing integrated curriculum, experiential learning and parental involvement. Further enhancing the school’s program, in 2000, Columbus was a designated a H.O.T. (Higher Order Thinking) School by the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development (formerly the Connecticut Commission on the Arts). In HOT Schools, the arts stimulate student learning, improve the climate and culture of the school, inspire the professional development of educators, and intentionally engage parents in the process.
Hope to see you at Columbus!
