The Best Places to Work in Connecticut 2016: Report

We've probably all said it at least once in our lives... "If only I had a different job, I'd be so much happier."

Whether that sentiment is true or not, here in Connecticut, you have a lot great options for employment, and Connecticut Magazine recently scoured the state to find Great Places to Work 2016.

The publication listed - not ranked - the companies for this independent report, and says it did not take fees from businesses in order to be listed.

"We sought suggestions via this magazine, our website and social media, talked to employment professionals and researched top companies in the region," wrote authors Albert Yuravich, Erik Ofgang and Michael Lee-Murphy. "We then investigated each workplace before including it here."

A total of 17 Connecticut companies are listed, some of which you've likely heard of, and a few you might not have. Industries represented include media, finance, healthcare, retail and higher education, among others.

Below are Connecticut's Great Places to Work 2016, according to Connecticut Magazine. Only companies with at least 50 employees were considered for the list. Visit the magazine's website for full descriptions of each company and why it's a great place to work:
