BJ Ryan's To Open New Norwalk Location In February

NORWALK, CT — BJ Ryan's will open a third restaurant next month in the Cove Avenue location that formerly housed Partner's Cafe & Pizzeria.

In a Facebook post Monday, the restaurant announced BJ Ryan's East, the newest addition to the BJ Ryan's family located in East Norwalk, will open in February on the corner of First Street and Cove Avenue.

Last month, the Spinola family announced they would be selling Partner's Cafe to BJ Ryan's after nearly 40 years in business.

"We've spent the last four decades building a business we are proud of by doing what we love most, making others happy," the family's Dec. 13 post reads. "The decision to sell did not come lightly and weighed heavy on our hearts. We are honored to have been part of the Norwalk community and the rich history of East Norwalk for so long. For this we have no one to thank other than our loyal customers who have become family over many years of service."

According to the family, BJ and Marissa Lawless and Keith Torpey of BJ Ryan's would "proudly be continuing the neighborhood hometown tradition" from their new third location in Norwalk.

In announcing BJ Ryan's East, the restaurant's team pledged to maintain the family-friendly neighborhood restaurant and bar scene that preceded them at the long-standing pizzeria while bringing their own modernized pub flare to the space.

"Come by and enjoy the familiar pizza and a pint that we all know and love, or try something new," the post reads. "Either way, come on in and be our guest!"

A post on the newly created BJ Ryan's East Instagram page Monday also hinted the new restaurant would be keeping some form of the pizza Partner's was known for.

BJ Ryan's currently operates a restaurant on Main Street with a separate seafood eatery, BJ Ryan's Banc House, located on River Street.
