At Bloomingdales, the health and well-being of colleagues and customers is always our top priority. For customers shopping in store, Bloomingdale’s has implemented enhanced safety and wellness procedures to help combat any potential health concerns, complying with the CDC’s recommended protocol. This includes: frequent and enhanced cleaning in heavily trafficked areas and on hard surfaces; social distancing guidelines to maintain six feet between all customers and colleagues; sanitation stations in frequently visited locations throughout the store, plexiglass at select registers, and new fitting room procedures. Bloomingdale’s is also requiring colleagues to wear face masks, as well as performing daily colleague wellness checks upon reporting to work.

Store Pick-up and Contact-Free Curbside Pick-up

Buy Online Pickup in Store and Contact-Free Curbside Pickup service is currently available at select Bloomingdale’s locations. Most orders placed on bloomingdales.com or the Bloomingdale’s mobile app by Noon will be available for same-day pick-up. Orders placed after Noon will be ready the following business day.

For the curbside pickup option, items will be eligible for free pickup Monday through Friday between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Customers will receive an email with information on the exact designated location when their order is ready, and call their local store once they arrive. Following social distancing guidelines, a Bloomingdale’s colleague will confirm the order and place the merchandise in the trunk of the car, limiting contact between customers and colleagues.

Shop by Appointment

Customers can choose to shop by appointment with Bloomingdale’s stylists, home stylists, jewelry consultants and personal shoppers, providing an even more personalized and socially distanced shopping experience. Community Giving

Throughout the COVID-19 crisis, Bloomingdale’s and its customers have supported vital organizations that address the many facets of the pandemic through online donations on Bloomingdales.com. With help needed now more than ever, Bloomingdale’s now invites shoppers to round up their in-store purchases to the nearest dollar (up to $.99) and donate the difference directly to one of three charitable organizations, including: World Central Kitchen #chefsforamerica COVID-19 Response which distributes individually packaged, fresh meals in communities in need; CDC Foundation Emergency Response Fund, which helps fund medical supplies, increase lab capacity, deploy emergency staffing to U.S. public health agencies, provide support to vulnerable communities, and boost clinical research; and Child Mind Institute’s COVID-19 Relief Fund which provides resources and care for families to support their children's mental health during the crisis.

Easy Returns

Bloomingdale’s has extended its return policy by 60 days for saleable items purchased in store prior to April 1, 2020. That means customers will have 425 days from date of purchase to return these items and 150 days from date of purchase to have these items credited back to the original form of payment. Bloomingdale’s regular 365 day policy (with credit to the original form of payment within 90 days) continues as before for items purchased online and for any items purchased in store after April 1, 2020. Returned merchandise that is in salable condition will be held aside before being returned to the sales floor.
