NORWALK, CT — Metro-North Railroad said its New Haven Line service is operating "on or close to schedule" as of 5:30 p.m. after a bridge strike late Friday afternoon near South Norwalk.

In a post around 4:15 p.m. on X, formerly Twitter, the railroad said New Haven Line customers may experience delays of up to 15 minutes due to a speed restriction resulting from a bridge strike near South Norwalk.

The railroad also noted the 4:06 p.m. train from Bridgeport to Waterbury is "operating 10-15 minutes late because of a late-arriving connection."

The railroad said around 4:50 p.m. that Waterbury Branch customers "are experiencing 10-15 minute delays because of congestion" due to the speed restriction, however Waterbury Branch service is now operating "on or close to schedule" as of 5:20 p.m.
