Police Ask for Info from Anyone with Information of Cabbie's Death or Who Rode with Him

Norwalk police released this statement:

An autopsy was conducted today by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Farmington. We are
awaiting the official word on the manner and cause of death.

Mr. Pierre-Louis was driving a dark blue 2005 Mazda MPV minivan cab for Norwalk Yellow Cab Inc.
Detectives have processed the 2005 Mazda minivan to collect evidence from the crime.

Detectives are following up on leads and progressing with this very active investigation.

Anyone with information about this incident or anyone who may have ridden in the cab last night is
asked to contact the Norwalk Police Department Detective Division.

A cab driver was stabbed to death in Norwalk shortly after midnight on Monday.

Norwalk police received 911 calls reporting a stabbing and motor vehicle accident on Grove Street in South Norwalk at 12:16 a.m., said Lt. Paul Resnick, police spokesman.

Officers who arrived on the scene found cab driver Jackson Pierre-Louis, 51, of Bridgeport with multiple stab wounds. He had crashed into a parked vehicle. He worked for Norwalk Yellow Cab Inc.

Pierre-Louis was transported by ambulance to Norwalk Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:05 a.m.
