Car Crashes Into Popular Norwalk Clothing, Gift Store: UPDATE

Police said the car crashed into The Paper Store in Norwalk after a driver accelerated into the store's window.

NORWALK, CT — A car crashed into a building Thursday afternoon after the driver accelerated into a popular Norwalk clothing and gift store's window, according to police.

In an email to Patch, Police Lt. Tomasz Podgorski said the driver was trying to park the car but accelerated into the window of The Paper Store, located at 574 Main Avenue, around 12:45 p.m.

Police said on Facebook around 1:30 p.m. no injuries were reported and the crash was under investigation.

A photo posted by police showed a silver car inside the store with shattered glass scattered across the floor.
