CEA’s Shawn DuBravac Shares Key Insights at Wearable Tech Conference & Expo

Leading technology trade association’s chief economist to speak on industry best practices at New York event

 

Norwalk, CT—May 13, 2014—Today TMC announced that Shawn DuBravac, chief economist at the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)®, will be delivering a keynote address at Wearable Tech Conference & Expo, held July 23-24, 2014, at The Javits Center in New York City, New York. DuBravac, who has appeared on networks such as Bloomberg, ABC and Al Jazeera, will deliver his keynote titled “Harnessing Wearable Data” on Thursday, July 24, 2014, at 10:30am. In his presentation, DuBravac will delve into industry forecasts within the wearable technology and health care fields to unearth evolving consumer behaviors and emerging trends, and explore how wearables and their vast data collection capabilities will continue to inform and change consumers’ lives.

“The wearables market is poised for rapid growth, as smarter devices with sophisticated sensors that can capture, track and analyze multiple measurements like heart rate, sleep habits, diet and exercise gain mainstream consumer appeal,” said DuBravac. “Already we’re seeing huge growth in this category. Between 2012 and 2013, ownership rates for wearable fitness devices tripled.”
