Celebrate What You Love About Norwalk!
Art contest designed to promote Norwalk venues and businesses launches
Norwalk 2.0 has launched a special art contest celebrating all things Norwalk. Anyone can participate simply by using Instagram to share a photo of something in Norwalk. The contest is called #iconicnorwalk, which is the hashtag used to enter the contest. To join in the fun, post your photos of the people, places, and culture of Norwalk Connecticut to instagram using hashtag #iconicnorwalk by May 31, 2017 11pm.
There are several categories which the entries will be judged by. Wining entries will win cash prizes, with the grand prize overall winning a $300 cash gift card.
The gaol of the contest is to share the fun spots that people hang out, places to eat, people who make Norwalk the place you want to live in, work in or simply come for a visit. The winning entries will be displayed in an exhibit at ArtWorks Gallery on the Green, from June 4th through July 9th. Details on How To Enter
The contest entry period ends May 31, 2017 at 11 p.m.
1) Take or upload a photo of your artwork or video to your personal Instagram account
2) Caption your image with either a location or description and include #IconicNorwalk
3) Follow @norwalk2 on Instagram
RULES
Contestant must be the creator/owner of the entered image(s) and must have the permission of anyone shown in the images to have their likeness published. Norwalk 2.0 reserves the right to request the original image file for any winning image to print for an exhibition celebrating Norwalk. This is a global contest and any person with an Instagram account may enter, but the photos posted to #IconicNorwalk have to depict easily identifiable scenes in Norwalk, CT. Photos submitted to the contest may be printed for exhibit and displayed in public venues in Norwalk, CT by Norwalk 2.0.
