Celebrating Caregivers Day the AKA Way

Sorority Honors Caregivers

Members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc, Omicron Upsilon Omega Chapter recently celebrated Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., International “Care for the Caregivers’ Day”. The “Care for the Caregivers’ Day’ is a day where members of the sorority’s over 80,000 active members recognize dedicated individuals who provide care and support to persons who are ailing and aging. Although challenging at times, caregivers help family members live a fulfilling life by assisting in domestic, financial, and medical affairs.

Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority membership recognized and honored these unsung heroes who often make sacrifices for their love ones by presenting them with “Pamper Yourself” gift bags. The bags included a Caregiver Poem by Ryann Huff, bath salts, soaps, lotions, and other items for pampering.
