Chick-Fil-A Temporarily Closes For Renovations In Norwalk

Chick-fil-A in Norwalk has temporarily closed as enhancements are made to the restaurant's drive-thru, parking lot, dining room and more.

NORWALK, CT — Chick-fil-A has temporarily closed its Norwalk restaurant as the building and surrounding parking lot undergoes major renovations.

According to Chick-fil-A, Inc., the renovations are being made to improve the guest and team member experience at the popular fast food eatery, located at 467 Connecticut Avenue.

The company plans to expand the Norwalk restaurant's drive-thru from a single lane to a dual lane to accommodate more vehicles. Canopies will also be installed for the convenience of team members and guests.

The restaurant's dining area is also set to be redesigned, and the parking lot will be renovated to increase capacity, according to the company.

The restaurant is expected to reopen later this fall, pending any delays, according to Chick-fil-A.

"We're incredibly thankful for the community's support of our restaurant since we opened in 2017," Archer Bullock Jr., owner of the Norwalk restaurant, said in a statement sent to Patch. "We're excited to invest in these restaurant updates and better meet the needs of our guests and team members."

On Thursday, signs could be seen posted in the restaurant's parking lot that read: "Chick-fil-A temporarily closed for remodeling, opening soon!"

Construction barriers were also visible in the parking lot, and a widow appeared to be boarded up.

A post on the restaurant's Facebook page noted the Norwalk Chick-fil-A closed Sept. 25 for the remodeling project and indicated the restaurant would reopen in a few weeks. Pictures of the renovations currently underway inside the restaurant can also be viewed on the page.

"We are excited for these improvements and look forward to serving you again soon very soon," the post reads.

Chick-fil-A's signature menu of fried and grilled chicken sandwiches, tenders and nuggets have proved to be immensely popular among Norwalk residents since opening on Connecticut Avenue in 2017, which often has long lines of cars and customers during peak dining times.

In addition to a variety of chicken-based menu items, Chick-fil-A is also famous for its wide selection of dipping sauces customers can order with their meal, including Garden Herb Ranch, Zesty Buffalo, Polynesian, Sweet and Spicy Sriracha and the popular Chick-fil-A Sauce.
