City, Norwalk Public Schools Issue Snow Parking Reminder
A major winter storm is still battering the region Monday morning, with heavy snow and strong wind gusts.
NORWALK, CT — As a major snowstorm continues to impact the state Sunday into Monday morning, the city and Norwalk Public Schools have issued a snow parking reminder.
In a Facebook post Sunday afternoon as snow started to hit the region, the district urged residents not to park overnight in school parking lots.
According to the district, vehicles left in school lots prevent the city's Department of Public Works from clearing the snow and properly treating the lot, which can cause delays or disrupt school operations the following day.
