Coffee Products Recalled By Stew Leonard's In Norwalk

Customers with nut allergies should bring the coffee back to the Norwalk store for a full refund, according to Stew Leonard's.

NORWALK, CT — Stew Leonard's in Norwalk has recalled some fresh coffee products sold over the last few days for customers who have a nut allergy, the store announced Tuesday.

In a statement, spokesperson Meghan Bell said Stew Leonard's is recalling all bagged, loose or roasted ground coffee and coffee beans of all flavors and varieties purchased at the Norwalk store between Saturday and Tuesday at 11 a.m.

"We were experimenting with a double-roasted pistachio nut and thought the coffee roaster would impart a coffee-roasted flavor, but didn't realize it could have possibly contaminated the next batch of coffee that was roasted," Bell said in a statement.
