Columbus Day Parade Approved For Norwalk: Report

NORWALK, CT — The route for a parade celebrating the heritage of Norwalk’s Italian-American community was approved by the Norwalk Traffic Authority on Tuesday, the Norwalk Hour reported. The parade is set to take place over Columbus Day weekend on Sunday, Oct. 7.

According to the Norwalk Hour, the parade route will run along West Avenue from Wall Street to Heritage Wall, and is hoped to become an annual event. The approval comes a year after plans for a 2017 Columbus Day parade did not come to fruition.
