Communications Expert to Speak at Norwalk Rotary Club
The forum is open to the public and will be held on Wednesday.

Peggy Bud, with an Education and Communication Consultant with a background in speech pathology and school administration, will be speaking at the Norwalk Rotary Club on Wednesday, February 4. She uses her knowledge of how people learn and process information to teach her clients effective communication skills. It’s more than what you say; it’s how you say it. Peggy Bud is a certified and licensed speech/language pathologist. She provides targeted Effective Communication support to individuals, small businesses, and families of special needs students. She uses her background in language and communication to empower her clients. Through training sessions and individual coaching she develops her clients’ communication skills, ensuring that their message is clearly understood and remembered. When she coaches families, she teaches them how to have smart conversations with their school district in order to ensure that their children get the appropriate supports and services they need to be successful.
Peggy has a Master’s Degree from Southern Connecticut University and over 30+ years of hands on experience working in the public schools and in private practice. She has a 6th Year Certificate in Education Leadership from Southern Connecticut University and is a certified School Administrator with 10+ years’ experience.Peggy has written educational materials, children’s books, policies and procedures, and had an advice column for parents. Her educational materials include a puzzle book entitled Unusual Animals and a beginner’s puzzle book called Puzzles I Can Do Myself.

She wrote the book The Path to Popularity; A Guide for Middle School Students. The book has a Dale Carnegie message and is written for the pre-teen.
Currently Peggy supervises student teachers for Sacred Heart University. She also consults with private and public school on best practices.

The members of the Norwalk Rotary Club are a diverse group of business and professional leaders who contribute their time, talents, and financial support to aid local charities, youth programs and international humanitarian programs. They are dedicated to encouraging high standards in all club activities and to helping Rotary International build goodwill and peace in the world. Meetings are held on Wednesdays from 12:15pm-1:30pm at The Norwalk Inn, 99 East Avenue in Norwalk and are open to the public. The meeting is free and a three-course lunch is served for $16.
