Community Comes Together to Help Norwalk Hospital Paramedic

NORWALK, CT — A GoFundMe page has been established for Dennis Finneran, a 27-year veteran paramedic, who recently underwent heart surgery that has led to serious complications.

Finneran is currently listed in critical but stable condition at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, according to the page, and has had to undergo two additional surgeries.

As of this afternoon, Feb. 7, the page has generated $11,930 toward a goal of $20,000.

"Dennis has spent over 30 years in EMS, working in Southwestern Connecticut and New York City," writes Christopher Neary, who established the page. "Through this career Dennis has touched the lives of thousands of patients and coworkers alike. Dennis is the sole provider for his wife, three daughters and his son. We are asking for donations of any amount to help cover unexpected medical expenses and to assist his family through this difficult time."
