Concert by Ensemble AEVUM: Friday at St. Paul's on the Green
The performance of "Carmine Gothica" by Ensemble ÆVUM starts at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 14. Suggested donation: $15

A debut performance of Carmine Gothica by the Ensemble ÆVUM will be presented at St.Paul’s-on-the-Green in Norwalk at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 14.
The program, which celebrates the rich musical culture of 12th and 13th century France known as the Ars Antiqua, is sponsored by the Seabury Academy of Music and the Arts. Selections include solo and polyphonic works from the Saint-Martial and Notre Dame repertories.
“This will be a rare opportunity to experience these early compositions,” says Seabury Artistic Director Vince Edwards. “The focus on vocal music, particularly, helps reveal both our emotional connection with those times long past and our ongoing need for creative expression.”
