Convicted Felon Had Gun, 59 Bags Crack: Norwalk PD

NORWALK, CT — A man on probation was found with a loaded handgun, crack cocaine and a large sum of money after he left Adult Probation, according to police.

A probation officer contacted police and said that Jonas Labaze was in possession of a firearm in the area of Adult Probation.

Labaze was located at a bus terminal on Burnell Boulevard. He grabbed at his waistband and was detained.

He had a loaded Ruger P95 9mm handgun that was loaded with 15 rounds, 59 bags of crack cocaine and $1,336. He is a convicted felon.

He was charged with: Criminal Possession Firearm, Possession of Narcotics, Possession of Narcotics within 1500’ of a School, Possession of Narcotics with Intent to Sell, Possession of Narcotics with Intent to Sell within 1500’ of a School, Carrying a Pistol without a Permit and Possession of a Large Capacity Magazine.
