Norwalk ace James Cooksey allowed just two hits over five innings Tuesday as the Bears blanked Greenwich 9-0 in a CIAC Class LL first-round contest.
The 14th-seeded Bears will take on the winner of Tuesday night's contest between Stamford and McMahon in the second round on Wednesday.
Norwalk (15-8), which won all three games against Greenwich this season, put away the contest early with four runs in the first inning off Cardinals ace Dylan Callahan.

Tom Sullivan and Michael Parlanti had two-run singles in the first inning for the Bears, who added two runs in the third and three in the fourth.
Greenwich's David Berdoff doubled in the top of the first but was thrown out trying to stretch it into a triple. It was the only serious threat in the game for the Cardinals (11-10).

Leon Flemming pitched the final two innings for Norwalk, which lost to Danbury 7-2 in the FCIAC semifinals last week. Matt Ederle had three hits for the Bears.
