CT Secretary Of State Speaks At Norwalk 'Pride In The Park' Event

NORWALK, CT — On Saturday, Secretary of the State Stephanie Thomas addressed the crowd at Norwalk's "Pride in the Park" celebration held at the city's Veterans Memorial Park and Marina.
According to a news release provided by her office, Thomas and members of the Norwalk legislative delegation also presented Pride in the Park organizers with a citation to honor the event for contributing to an inclusive culture in the city of Norwalk.

"Don't stop at voting," Thomas said in a news release. "The issues that affect the LGBTQ+ community don't end on Election Day. Rights can get taken away at any time, so please vote and get involved 365 days a year."
The Office of the Secretary of the State also had a table at the event, with staff and volunteers having conversations with those in attendance about the importance of voting and community involvement, as part of a wider effort by Thomas to meet Connecticut residents outside of the Capitol space.
