Decision Made On Classes At Norwalk Public Schools For March 3

A winter weather advisory has now been extended to most of Connecticut as snow and ice are forecast.

NORWALK, CT — Norwalk Public Schools are closed Tuesday as a mix of snow, ice and rain are all in the forecast for Connecticut.

According to the district's website, schools are closed March 3 due to forecasted inclement weather later in the day that would create unsafe travel conditions during both a two-hour early dismissal and regular dismissal times.

"Snow showers are expected to turn over to rain, creating the potential for icy conditions," the district's website reads. "This decision has been made out of an abundance of caution to ensure the safety of our students and staff."
