Disabled Elderly Norwalk Woman Allegedly Ripped Off for Thousands by Friend: Report

An arrest has been made, according to police. Breaking.

NORWALK, CT — A 29-year-old Norwalk woman was arrested on a warrant this week for allegedly stealing checks and charging thousands of dollars on an elderly disabled woman's credit card over a several month period, according to police.

Arrested on multiple charges, including second-degree larceny, third-degree identity theft and third-degree forgery, was Karry Pauling, reports The Hour. The thefts, which exceeded $6,000, allegedly occurred between January and May of this year, when Pauling was supposedly helping the victim.

Pauling turned herself into police on Tuesday and was held in lieu of a $6,500 bond. She is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Sept. 23.
