DUI Charge for Norwalk Man Asleep in His Car with Engine Running

He was found parked on George Avenue early Thursday.

Norwalk, CT - A 39-year-old Norwalk man was arrested on a charge of Driving Under the Influence early Thursday when he was found asleep in his car parked on George Avenue, with the engine running and the headlights on, according to police.

Arrested was Terrance Parker, of County Street, who was additionally charged with Driving with a Suspended License, reports The Hour. He was released after posting a $6,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 15.

According to police, when officers woke him up, a startled Parker allegedly tried to put the car into drive but turned on windshield wipers instead.
