Duty Calls for New Norwalk High Volleyball Coach, Just Not in Norwalk

Before the first match, he resigned.

NORWALK, CT — Greg Walker, Norwalk High School's girls volleyball coach, has abruptly resigned from the position before the first match, reports The Hour.

Walker was just hired in the off-season, but has resigned for logistical reasons, namely that he has other commitments, such as also coaching USA Volleyball’s Men’s Paralympic Sitting National Team. That team is competing at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

Assistant coach Karey Fitzgerald, in her second year, has been promoted to head coach, according to the school.
