Endless Creativity Party Store Plans March Opening In Norwalk
"To me, this is more than a business. These are moments that people are never going to forget."

NORWALK, CT — For many, parties are an excuse for people to get together and celebrate a special event, but for Madeline Duarte-Canahui, they mean even more.
"It's very overlooked how important these things are," Duarte-Canahui said to Patch, "because you only turn a certain age once or have one baby shower for that particular baby. You only have one time. I feel like people don't really know how important and special it is to look back at that."
It is that desire to create cherished, memorable moments for customers that inspired Duarte-Canahui to start Endless Creativity, a business specializing in luxury event decor.

Wanting to open up a physical space, she found an available spot at 7 Wall Street and jumped at the opportunity.
"I decided to open [a physical store] to be able to serve a different type of clientele," Duarte-Canahui said. "Right now, I'm only doing big installs and big decor, which is going to venues and doing a set of decorations, but I wanted the store to be able to do personalized gifts and other items."

Construction is still underway on the store, however Duarte-Canahui noted work is nearly finished. While she does not have an exact opening date yet, she plans to have the store open sometime in March.
Part of the enticement of opening on Wall Street came from the "good energy" this section of Norwalk gave off, with a number of dining and entertainment options in the area creating heavy foot traffic at times.
"It's good to just be in a really interactive area, not just a random spot on the street," Duarte-Canahui said. "I feel like there's a lot of things going on right now on Wall Street, so I figured it was just perfect."
Endless Creativity customers will be able to find a number of items to help them pull off a successful party, including personalized gifts, balloon arrangements, grab-and-go garland and more.
The store will also feature a play area in back for kids, which may be used to host small birthday parties in the future, and a space for customers to take pictures during holidays, including Easter, Valentine's Day and Christmastime.
Duarte-Canahui also plans to host classes at the store to teach customers how to do what she does.
"I'm 23," Duarte-Canahui said. "I had my daughter when I was 20 and I couldn't afford to hire somebody to [create things] for me, so I had to do it myself, and people loved what I did so it just started from there. I want to be able to teach that stuff to people who were like me that can't do it themselves or people who want to start their own business."
As she puts the finishing touches on her new store, Duarte-Canahui hopes to help Norwalk residents create memorable moments they will always remember.
"To me, this is more than a business," Duarte-Canahui said. "These are moments that people are never going to forget...if you're doing a party, it's because it's important to you."
