Enjoy Chocolate and Strawberries While Learning About Breast Health at Norwalk City Hall on March 29th
Breast health experts from Norwalk Hospital and CancerCare discuss topics focused on breast health and awareness for women and men.
NORWALK, Connecticut – March 1, 2017 - The City of Norwalk in collaboration with Norwalk Hospital’s Smilow Family Breast Center and CancerCare Inc. invite the community to attend a “Chocolate, Strawberries and Breast Health” program on Wednesday, March 29, at 5 pm. The program takes place at Norwalk City Hall’s Community Room where breast health experts from Norwalk Hospital and CancerCare will discuss topics focused on breast health and awareness for women and men.
Opening remarks will be delivered by Lucia C. Rilling, “First Lady” of the City of Norwalk. Featured topics and presenters include:
- Screening Recommendations led by Jeanne Capasse, MD, Surgical Director, SFBHC, Norwalk Hospital
- Dispel Myths and Fears led by Mary Heery, APRN, Breast Health Specialist, Norwalk Hospital
- Navigate Health Barriers led by Zarek Mena, CPN, Certified Patient Navigator, Norwalk Hospital
- Maintain Breast Health and Access Services led by Susan Beno, LCSW, Clinical Supervisor, CancerCare Inc.
Questions, answers and testimonials follow the presentations, and breast health advocates will be available to connect attendees with appropriate breast care services.
