May is Preservation Month and the Norwalk Preservation Trust is throwing a party to celebrate. NPT invites everyone to a no admission and no minimum event: “A Toast to Preservation” with guest bartenders Andy Garfunkel, Kathryn Hebert, and Fred Garrity at Barcelona Wine Bar and Restaurant, 63 North Main Street in SONO, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Monday, May 21. Andy Garfunkel is Norwalk’s former Town Clerk, Fred Garrity is Executive Director of the CT United Ride (Connecticut's largest 9/11 tribute motorcycle ride with 2,300 motorcycles last year) and Kathryn Hebert is active on a number of boards and commissions, including the Norwalk Symphony Orchestra and the Norwalk Arts Commission. These Norwalkers have volunteered to step behind the bar to serve drinks – including a special “Househugger” cocktail – that will help fund historic preservation in Norwalk. There is no admission to the party so join us to enjoy Barcelona Wine Bar and Restaurant, historic SONO and reconnect with people who care about Norwalk.
