Free "Maximizing Your Year-End Job Search” Workshop

“Maximizing Your Year-End Job Search,” is a free workshop titled that takes place from noon – 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15 at Norwalk community College. The workshop is sponsored by by the Extended Studies and Workforce Education Division.

This workshop is the fourth in a series of free “Pathways to Career Success” Workshops that have been offered at the college.

The workshop will be held in the in the Culinary Arts Dining Room on West Campus in Room W121.

This workshop will offer tips on how to power up your job search for year-end success!

Participants will learn how to maximize networking activities during the holiday season, refresh and raise their profile with recruiters using social media, and develop cover letters that grab a recruiter’s attention.

It is a job search myth that the end of the year is a slow time for hiring. Contrary to popular belief, many companies and non-profits have active, open positions at year's end.

Come learn how to ask for an interview and how to go for “the close.” This fast-paced, interactive session will add sparkle to your networking and interviewing skills during the busy year end season.

Workshop facilitator, Meredith Lowe, B.S., is co–founder of The Career Co op and has over 25 years of executive human resources experience with a variety of Fortune 500 companies. She has industry experience in Finance, Consumer Packaged Goods, and New Media.
