The NCC Talks annual fall lecture brings speakers to NCC from all disciplines and backgrounds whose work on particular problems, issues, and concerns has led to innovative thinking and action.
This year’s speaker is Elissa Montanti, founder and director of the Global Medical Relief Fund for Children (GMRF). She was recently featured on “60 Minutes” (One Child at a Time segment)for her innovative work with children.
She is a one-woman show, whose mission is to help children from around the world who have suffered grave injuries as victims of war or terror. She connects them with doctors in the New York Metropolitan area, who offer surgery and medical treatment at no cost to the families.
