The Norwalk Community Chorale,
sponsored by Norwalk Recreation and Parks Department, welcomes all singers for
their upcoming spring season; especially needed are bass and tenor. The
51st annual spring concert, American Tapestry, will feature patriotic music and folk tunes
including God Bless the USA, Yankee
Doodle Boy and The Water is Wide/Shenandoah. Rehearsals
are held every Tuesday evening from 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. in the Mary McCarthy
rehearsal room adjacent to the concert hall.
There are no tryouts or residency restrictions, nor do you need to read
music. New members will be accepted
through February 14th. Performance will be held on June 2,
2012 in Norwalk Concert Hall, 125 East Avenue, Norwalk, at 7:30 p.m. The
70-member, four-part mixed chorus is under the expert direction of maestro Brian Muller who joined the chorale
in January 1998.
