Shakespeare on the Sound Summer Camps: Folio Ensemble

THE FOLIO ENSEMBLE (ages 13-17) – 3 weeks The Folio Ensemble is a 3-week acting intensive. Participants will work together to investigate, develop and execute an hour long theatrical performance based on Shakespeare’s classic themes of love and betrayal. The participants will explore some of Shakespeare’s most well-known texts. Over three weeks the Folio Ensemble will advance their study by creating and sustaining a character’s journey through the course of a production process. The Folio Ensemble will also participate in Master Classes such as: Monologue, Character Development, Text Analysis, Clowning, Stage Combat, Directing, and Stage Make-up. Master Classes will be taught by Shakespeare on the Sound actors and artists affiliated with the current and past productions.
The Folio Ensemble is an advanced acting intensive open to theater students from all disciplines of theater. Acceptance in The Folio Ensemble is based upon audition.
Each camp features a session with one of our amazing Shakespeare on the Sound artists whose experience on and off-Broadway and at regional theaters will give participants an unparalleled experience (right in their own backyard!)
