Women as Scientists and Innovators

The Fairfield County Women’s Center Presents: “Women as Scientists and Innovators” April 4, 2012 10:00-11:20 East Campus-Room 222 at the NCC’s Annual Academic Festival. Featuring Keynote Speaker Dr. Cynthia Barnett, retired Norwalk educator and founder of the Saturday Academy Inc. Dr. Cynthia designs innovative programs that empower girls to pursue education and career opportunities in STEM (Science, Technology, Education and Math) fields.

The Academic Festival is a daylong celebration of the rich and thriving intellectual life of the college. It includes faculty and guest lectures, panel discussions, art exhibits, performances, culinary demonstrations, and student presentations. All events are free and open to the public. The theme this year is "Innovation and Inspiration: Transforming the World One Idea at a Time."
