NORWALK, CT — An Eversource project will effect public parking at the Norwalk Police Department for the rest of the month.

In a Facebook post, police said Eversource will be working in the outer parking lot of police headquarters, located at 1 Monroe Street, beginning Monday.

The project is expected to last until April 1 and will severely limit the amount of available parking spaces in the lot, according to police.

During this time, only employees of the department or people with business at the police department will be allowed to park in the lot, police said.

There will be no public parking available in the lot for local businesses during this time, according to police. This will be strictly enforced by officers.

Police noted public parking for local businesses is available on city streets and in nearby parking garages.
